That's really a shame. I thought Santiago was a city that works. I loved the people, subways & mass transit , the entertainment, parks etc. - the only big down side was geographical - the surrounding mountain kept in the polluted air especially in the winter (Like summer smog in big city USA). Jump on a bus heading north or south solves that problem. When it gets really dangerously polluted, they enforce no drive alternate days depending on licence plate # even or odd ?

I think people go nuts when the air quality is low. Here in Wilmington,De USA a combinaton of a full moon and high ozone produced a number of shootings /murders on one long weekend. The full moon started last Sunday night so the natives have probably calmed down by now.
