This all started with protests organized through “social media” against a price hike in the Santiago’s subway rate. A few hours later things scalated to the intentional burning of the corporate building of one of the major electric companies (electric rates also were hiked), looting in supermarkets, pharmacies, even car dealerships, and the president decreed state of emergency and put the public order in hands of military and the curfew just started.

No one saw it coming.

Protesters are brazenly defying the curfew. Body count started last night but as this is ongoing, I see by tomorrow this will keep ongoing , really sad.

But PG&E is off the hook. We need to ban fire AND electricity!
