In Australia it is $150 a LITRE!4.5 litres to the gallon.the bright sparks here closed all refineries and we have 3 weeks fuel in the country at any given time.

$6.75 a gallon in Australia which is about $4.50 US a gallon

Not to mention cigarettes @ $1.20 each or $55 a pack of 40`s.

Then there`s the alcohol.

Only here in Oz.

2 days ago it was $1.70 litre where i am or $5.28 us gallon .

Well your nation does have good public transport. Especially the trains. In most of the US there isn’t any local rail service available. Hybrid vehicle mileage intentionally capped at 52mpg. I gave up the V8 two years ago and haven’t missed it at all. If I lived in Oz I would drive a vehicle with a small displacement diesel engine.

Many stations around here in Houston are under $2 gallon... $1.92 is common.
