Re: The Army Is Building A Cannon Capable Of Firing From Nashville To NYC
When I was an aerospace engineer, I designed a gun to be fired from a 747 at 45,000 feet altitude. It could send a 16 inch shell (like a big Navy gun) over 100 miles.

There is a trick to keep the aircraft fuselage from being destroyed by the recoil, but it CAN be done.

Smaller projectiles can be fired at up to several thousand miles range using a sabot.

You could even shoot small satellites into orbit at over 8 km/sec.

At that altitude, a bit of elevation of the barrel sends the projectile through very thin atmosphere to keep heating and drag down.

As mentioned by others, a terminal guidance system makes this a hypersonic weapon that is very difficult to defend against.

I am available as a consultant to any aerospace company that wishes to learn how to do this.

no, Rockets replaced projectiles, only that all our stacoms and missile guidance have been hacked. Seeing all our computer chip plants went belly up or overseas, its going to take some serious pressure to rebuild our IC boards over there. Whoever takes the contract, will be targeted by th globalist. So,....we need to make our own computer chip factories. Silicon valley is toast and too vulnerable. It needs to be done in NY, along side all the other 1000s of military factories. MI would have good too, but that was tore down by Obama and over run w Muslims. NY is best bet. The old IBM factories in Armok, other chip plants need to be converted. Trump has been working on this for two years.

There is an AMD chip plant 5 miles from me. Once they got caught with the exploit holes in the chips (China designed some of it) they had to lay off like 3000. Now we need to re-hire but most applicants are immigrants. Immigrants dont qualify to work on government projects. So Trump needs to make a juicy steak for non-immigrants to take up chip manufacturing. He needs to hit the lever on the printing press and give it to colleges. Free college for PC chip designers that were born in the USA.

This brings us back to the projectiles. They travel so fast they can't be shot down, but a gun shooting that far, D-FENCE only. I say 10 on each border should do the trick. Its temporary. Buys us time to get missiles back online w/o the spectre holes in them.

Agree w both of you. Trump know where this is headed. The world vs the USA. I say in two years. Once Trump kills the FED, IRS, and leaves the UN. These cannons are needed until we get reliable missile guidance systems back in place. Ones which can't be hacked by some guy in a cave in Belgium. These cannons are important. I say we could use 10 on each border.

They will need to be reloaded underground on rail systems. Quite an undertaking, but plenty of jobs there. Maybe 30,000 or so.

Another stupid money pit by a military going down the drain fast. While other countries are ahead of us in state of the art hypersonic weapons, we are developing a useless cannon that will fire rounds that might cost ONLY $400,000 to $500,000 each shot.

In a recent interview, Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville told Defense News:

“A lot of that comes down to cost.

If we are able to develop the strategic, long-range cannon system, the rounds may be only $400,000 or $500,000 compared to multimillion-dollar rounds. Cost does matter, and we are concerned about cost.

There are some, definitely, physics challenges in doing these types of things, and that is the trade-off.”

Atomic Annie probably cost 1/10th of what they'll spend on this project. If we are going to spend $500k to take something out, I want a couple AC130's firing everything they got.

Oh so we have, erp, building a gun that can pick off satellites while we are deploying satellites that can pick off anything on the ground?

Sounds like science fiction to me.

Wait, you're not Doctor Hunter from LLNL, are you? Remember when I invited you to brief our staff in Downey? We had one idiot exec who asked if we could launch astronauts using your light gas gun.

You replied, "Yes, we can launch them, but then you would have astronaut pate'."

I could not believe that the exec was a retired USAF test pilot. He should have understood what 50,000 Gs meant.

When it's a $500,000 GPS guided projectile that maneuvers in flight, it's hardly comparable to a classic artillery shell.

For reference a 105mm shell costs around $400. In 2008, Canada was launching GPS guided artillery shells at the Taliban that cost $150,000 per shot. [link to www.cbc.ca (secure)]

Now we are talking about $500,000 rounds? That's 1,250 105mm rounds! At the standard 3 rounds per minute, that's 416 minutes or 7 HOURS of continuous 105mm artillery fire landing every 20 seconds.

a Very heavy without mobility system with hours between loads

a unusable monster costing milions on millions spent for nothing money

you can have very better and multiply results with rockets,f-35
very cheaper with unbelievable salvos (hundreds at the same moment), [link to www.youtube.com (secure)]

now make all these guided, the next step in rocket artillery,
and you can feel the hell on the targets head

and all these with high mobility (needed to survive anti artillery fire).

A fraud to steal money, like f-35s

My last job, I was the 2nd senior engineer assigned to a new mobile computing division at AMD's competitor. I worked with Oak Trail, Bay Trail and Cherry Trail SOC design teams at the Austin, TX design center. My role was to hold design workshops with OEM manufacturers of mobile products. So I know quite a bit about computing architecture.

The aforementioned processor products have hardware based encryption. It just so happens the encryption engine was developed by the Israel design team. That means Israeli and US intelligence agencies have the master encryption keys.

The microcode on those processors are hardened against reverse engineering by the encryption engine. If any of the processors manufactured at Chinese semiconductor foundries changed microcode, UEFI (BIOS) or component firmware/drivers, it would be obvious to my former employer, along with Israeli and US intelligence agencies by their checksums and security signatures (certificates).
You are born with the truth, then taught a lie.
