I wouldnt get an M&P 1522 it uses a polymer receiver and if stored in a hot vehicle can actually heat and warp the receiver. On a hot summer day nutnfancy was doing documented target shots and his groupings physically dropped an inch or 2 due to the barrel drooping when the heated receiver began to give.

I had one . Sold it and got a Ruger 10/22 takedown. Solid rifle.

Waist your money on a overrated complicated gun that cost twice what it should.

Ruger AR-556 ought to be on that list imo.

Huh? I just put one together for a little over 300 bucks! No frills but has the basics, brass deflector, dustcover, bayonet lug, Magpul furniture, mid length gas system. I put 120 rounds thru it a few weeks ago no issues!. I gotta ask whats so complicated about it? Not quite as cave man simple as a AK but close!
