Yes. My point exactly. Don't you remember when it was normal to put honey in a hot cup of tea, maybe with some milk? I mean boiling tea..especially when sick?

My post above^^^

I taste tested it again and it definitely has a nasty strong after taste. Maybe it's a bad batch but if this is the standard for honey, I won't be buying it any longer.

Because a retard called Maharishi Ayurveda says heat makes honey toxic, that means the universe has changed?

The simplest explanation is usually the correct explanation!

This is the key: buy local honey from a local beekeeper.

Never buy honey from a chain store. Did the label say where the honey is from?

Does honey ham exist? I always buy one of those ham steaks and slather it in honey. Then I cook it. That would be bad I guess

Well...I did put "Mandela effect" in quotation marks. I never implied that this is actually a Mandela effect, just something I found odd.

Like one of the ACs said, honey and hot lemon tea had been a staple forever...now adding honey into a pot of boiling water makes it toxic..

If you are being honest then you should realise that the taste of (natural) honey depends on the flowers that the bees collect pollen from.

The taste of honey is as varied as the source flowers, type of bees as well as if the honey is blended or pure.

Re: The worst "Mandela effect" I've just encountered
I'm a beekeeper. Your honey is fine. It's not toxic.

If you overheat honey it loses some of its properties. Its enzymes, etc. That's always been the case. If you keep heating it up - burning it - you get something like a toffee. Because it's sugar. That's what it does.

It's still okay to put in your tea.

And manuka is mostly hype.

yah, just like butter was proven to be bad for us. Margarine was the solution.

Now? LOL! Everyone knows that margarine is terrible for the body.

Milk, same.

Salt (sodium chloride) ...SAME. At some point in the future, the idea that salt is the cause of a myriad of health problems is FALSE. Lack of sodium is causing many common problems today.

so...just keep putting substitute sugar in everything and kill your brain, your digestive system and your immune system. Stevia isn't exempt. Stevia increases estrogen levels in the body and has been used as a form of birth control. Just because it is is natural, doesn't make it safe. Try taking off the natural chemicals from many plants and you will find yourself dead. Natural doesn't mean good.
