Nobody marries into the Royal families unless they themselves are from a Royal bloodline by at the very least, 13 generations. Markel's mother was found to be directly descendant from French Royalty by only 5 or 6 generations, mid 18th century. The "British" royal family is mostly German. They simply would not have married if she did not carry some royal DNA herself. She's also probably Rh-.
