Ethical concerns raised after scientists create mini human brains that may be sentient

"Some scientists are warning the larger scientific community that recent work into artificially created human brains may have “crossed a line,” with researchers having possibly manufactured sentient human brains from stem cells.

Scientists have made enormous strides in recent years creating “organoids” consisting of lumps of lab-grown human brain tissue. Some of those creations, however, have developed spontaneous brain waves which scientists claim are comparable to those in unborn human beings."
