This is widely expected to be rejected by the opposition, in which case Boris will refuse more time and ask for an immediate vote on it, otherwise he will call for an election. This he will likely lose as well, allowing him to call for an election. The vote for this in the House of Commons could go his way if the SNP and/or Social Democrats agree to it. |
