If people still wore bell bottoms, that could work. The ankle monitor is obvious thru normal pants though.

Don't they have ones that mold to the foot? They'd just mold it over the foot already wearing the monitor. Or hack out enough foam etc. to give space for the monitor.

Did Cummings really say that? That's like the guy (can't remember who) who said they'd never see Trump as president. And they died the day before inauguration, so they were right.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there is a company out there that manufactures clandestine tracking/monitor boots that resemble medical boots for criminals willing to pay the premium.

Hell, you'd think some fancy-ass top clothing or footwear designer would step up and roll out the new fashion statements that are function on the perp walk runway shows.

People say that the monitors are so small you don't need boots, but people have eagle eyes and when you're sitting down, the pants ride up. The only way to ensure this is NOT going to be seen under any circumstances is something like a medical boot. It makes sense.

People saying it doesn’t make sense to wear a boot when they are easily covered by pants... this isn’t exactly true. This year several people have been noticed with ankle monitors on because the pants sort of sit on top of the monitor or actually cling to it.

It definitely is odd. I very rarely see people wearing boots including the amateur athletes my husband knows. It's pretty uncommon actually.

We’ve been able to make out the ankle monitors in warm-ups on Ellen, regular pants on Oprah, suit pants on Hanx. Boots provide better cover.

Tracking bracelets dispensed to the proles are clunky and identifiable. Elite members of the criminal public are fitted with therapeutic "boots" or ankle braces.
