What I find odd is that I follow our local/regional news, even our former Congress critters.

And I cannot recall one thing in the news about Hagan having any kind of medical issues at all.

John Conyers died yesterday.

Irregardless of political affiliation, tick-borne illnesses are nasty shit I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Little kid in our neighborhood went Lyme misdiagnosed for a year.

He's 12 now with the mental and physical capacity of a 5 year old. That's since he got better...

Agreed. Looked Hagan's tick disease up on the CDC website. Only 1 in 10 die from it, but it's a horrible, nasty way to go. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I'm in NC too, and today's news came as a surprise to me too.

I'm not a big consumer of local news, but something like this seems kind of big to not hear about until now.

I'm in NC. I received a poll phone call a couple of days AFTER the election when she lost her run for re-election. The polling basically wanted to know why she lost, and had only a couple questions. It was a live person -- not a machine "press 1 or 2" kind of thing.

I told the guy it was all about Obamacare for me. (She pushed for it big time.) I said I thought it was a mandate on that.

He said, "Yeah, I've been hearing that a lot." (Thank you for your time, blah blah blah, and then the call pretty much ended.)

(I don't vote D, and wouldn't have voted for her either way, but I didn't tell him that.)

This is very sad news, Zenobia.
From what I have read of the symptoms of this illness it
would have been a very painful death (I won't go into that

Are you thinking that this may be a DELIBERATE type of
illness from one of her enemies?

Of course, it won't be the very first time that political
enemies used "mother nature's wrath" to eliminate their
competition.

Did you ever hear about the investigative journalism
into the REAL story behind JFK's so-called "assassin"
in the book "Mary's Monkey?" It's just crazy.

The "black ops" at the time of JFK were doing covert research
into how to "weaponize" cancer (which could be delivered
in a shot.) It turns out that this has been perfected and
weaponized cancer can take someone down with "so-called cancer"
within a few weeks to one-month!

Sorry I couldn't tend my thread since I've been unplugged most of today.

Yeah, I forgot about Conyers, folks.

And yeah, I recall raising my eyebrow several times when she was serving and not doing much for our military even while on those committees.

And hell yeah, I believe biologicals have been weaponized for a long time now. Recall reading somewhere long time ago that the Clowns had Bob Marley on their radar. Someone gifted him a brand new pr of boots and when Marley tried them on, a wire that was slightly protruding inside the bottom of a boot stuck him on big toe. And then in short order, the man came down w/ cancer.

Just find it strange that she dropped off radar after serving, no local news on her lately and now this happens. Granted, any kind of tick disease is gawd awful but I just have to wonder about the circumstances.

Sorry but it just doesn't pass the smell test to me given what I know about how certain folks exit stage left who were once on the main stage as bad actors.

It feels like it close to anomaly level. Not exactly there yet, but two or three more and its on.
