The manager of the store and I have been exchanging in witty banter and innocent flirtations over the past 3 months. A week ago she asked me if I would be available to go for coffee. Yesterday I delivered to her store and she was off at the time. I left 2 coupons with her co-worker for a free pizza at a pizza shop in the mall and told her it was for her and her friend who both work at the store. She texted me later in the day thanking me for lunch and texted "Is there a day you're free? I'd love to make it up to you." I responded: Hmm.. "Saturday evening?" She repied: "Okay, I don't drive though." I texted: "I'll pick you up. Or I can meet you somewhere. Whatevs. She responded: "I'll think about it, give me the night and I'll message you in the morning. "ok" I replied. I haven't heard from her since then, I assume she'll text this evening, but what do you think happened? UPDATE: She texted me this morning apologizing that she hadn't gotten back to me as she became busy with work. She asked if I still wanted to go out this evening. I explained I'd since made plans to go to the football game with my son, but am available tomorrow. I'm picking her up tomorrow afternoon and we're going for sushi. I've been there done that but I was a much younger man. if you want it just relax and be ready for her call whenever it may come, and it may not ever come. but then you have an in with the friend. you play the hurt heart and get her friend to come over or you go to her place to "talk about it" take wine. lol |
