Why do I say you must distort the light to see Satan in his true hideous self?

I advocate that the Light of the spirit must be distorted to reveal the darkness. Not doing so only empowers the deception that the darkness, Satan, imposes on the world. We are told Satan masquerades in light, right?

2Co 11:14

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

English is a powerful tool of Satan. It is the language of deception, our modern day Babel or confusion of tongue.

What Paul is actually telling us in the above verse is that Satan transformed the fallen angels into light. You have to distort the verse to see this.

So what we have today are angels of light deceiving humanity. Angels have wings, yes? So can they truly operate on earth? NO! Just like a plane has wings. It cannot operate on land. It is designed to function in the atmosphere. The same holds true with winged angels. They cannot operate on earth (material plane) as they are not built for that. However, fallen angels, who have had their wings clipped during the war in Heaven, can operate on land or earth. They do not fly.

All stories you hear of encounters with angels, etc... on earth, these are encounters with fallen angels. Angels who sided with God do not interact with humans on earth. You have to ascend into the clouds to meet them. There are verses to support my claim.
