They use to have Wimpy's burgers around town, but they have seem to have closed up.

I once ordered a shrimp basket at Popeye's that was one big glob of dough and micro shrimp. I pointed to the photo above the register and demanded a full refund, saying: "That looks nothing like the picture, and there's no way I'm putting that cr@) in my body! The refund was quickly made.

The spicy fried chicken is good but the quality can vary greatly from location to location even in the same city.

I know they are all franchises owned by different people and that may account for the difference in quality - doesn't someone from headquarters check on the different locations?

I really like the biscuits but have never been able to find a recipe that is even close to what they serve.

Popeyes has the BEST redbeans and rice. I'm visiting in STL Mo. and was in their store on Manchester (busy street) Drive thru line long so I went inside. This was mid week. That line was somewhat long..the problem was it appeared upper management were helping out and didn't know what they were doing. When I finally got to place my order (red beans and rice) I asked for 2 large LIGHT on the rice to go. This UM guy served me the opposite!! All rice very little beans. I was hoppin angry when I got home with this food I had waited a half hour for.

Sunday (yesterday) traveling down Manchester going past Popeye's WHAT A SURPRISE! Parking lot full and cars lined up at least 1/2 block down Manchester to get into Popeyes. I haven't tried their chicken but it couldn't be worth a min. hour wait
