Thank you for your reaction Ohio Chick. It is very sobering to think that you cannot think of what might bring you joy. I remember being in a similar situation. A friend said to me "Have a nice evening", and at that time, I was so overworked and sad that I no longer had any concept of what a "nice evening" might be.

BEING JOY whatever the circumstances is probably the answer. if one "practices" long enough, it will become real. This is my experience at self-awareness seminars. If I pretended to cry to 5 minutes, I would start to cry for real. The body remembers what it is like to cry, and usually there is something one could cry about, if one thinks about it.

The same holds true for laughter. If I pretended to laugh for 5 minutes, I would start to laugh for real (laughing yoga makes good use of this), because similarly the body remembers what it is like to laugh. Wishing you lots of inspiration as to what to experiment with next.

Dear Readers: the number of problems on this planet presently breaks all bounds of imagination, and it is easy to become overwhelmed, resulting in debilitating paralysis and resignation. This stance will not, however, contribute to improvement.

Yet everyone, however deep and twisted the problem which besets them personally, can choose another way of regarding it, and another way of reacting. Everyone can work on personal difficulties and conflicts, and in fact if everyone did, there would be no global problems as a result. Thus we are encouraged to work on ourselves in our own individual capacities.

What I would like to offer on this thread is the QUALITY which, if you increase it and practice it daily, will help to relieve your particular problem. It is not necessary to provide details of the problem concerned. For example you could simply say I AM HAVING PROBLEMS AT WORK AT THE MOMENT. Then, choose a number between 1 and 100.

I will then provide you - here on this thread - with a QUALITY to solve the problem, and with questions you can ask yourself. Of course I welcome feedback, but it is not necessary.

Hi! My best friend is going through just terrible symptoms from chemo, stage 4 breast cancer, and my youngest adult kid hasn't talked to me in over a year. I need to know both are going to be ok, and then I won't go crazy with worry.

44 is the number, I see it everywhere.

I need to choose which direction to focus on to regain my momentum and contribute to society with maximum positive effect including creating a family. I'm working on too many things it's wearing me thin... 52

Hello dear Chafan1: it seems that what might help is being more CREATIVE in your ideas and views. This also means, seeing the present situation in a creative way, in the sense that what you see might only be your perception of it, and that there are other ways to view it. Also consider that you often see what you want to see, and that there may be other possibilities as yet unseen by you. Here are some questions which may help additionally:


Is there any situation in which you feel invisible?
What fear, if you dig deeply enough, is responsible for your negative experiences?
What if enthusiasm, joy and self-confidence are responsible for your positive experiences?
Are you aware that visualisation is the first step towards manifestation?
How can you increase your creativity?
What if everybody worldwide realised that their thoughts and feelings were precursors of the future events in their lives?
What if everyone realised that the quality of their thoughts determined the quality of their experience?

I would guess that would be choosing reality as a quality.
