They were behind the scenes doing this before WW2, it was pushed into Universities to start and into education, schools, that took them little time in large cities. Not the whole US because the Federal Gov. was not over the schools. If you understand how this became a problem, you will understand McCarthy was correct, except he did not understand he was getting to close to the ones in the gov..

I visited an old mill town in New England, USA yesterday and was surrounded by the trappings of old-fashioned ingenuity and hard work and leadership.

(I'm not saying that everything that happened during the mill town's boom was good, it wasn't. But for a time, the mills were amazingly productive!)

I stood on a pretty lookout, overlooking an amazing canal, and looked at a sign put up by the democratic people in charge of the town.

It was now called the "Nelson Mandella Lookout" or something equally stupid.

Literally, what the heck did Nelson Mandella of South Africa do to get a view of mills and canals with intricate granite stone and brick work (built by Americans and immigrants, such as the Irish) NAMED AFTER HIM?

The difference between now and when that cartoon was published is the snake oil salesmen had not infiltrated the education system nor the entertainment industry.

Students are served up a daily dose of snake oil starting in grade school. Colleges and universities are now fully indoctrinating and not educating.
