[link to www.etymonline.com (secure)] The word "intelligence" means 'the highest faculty of the mind, capacity for comprehending general truths.' [link to www.etymonline.com (secure)] So the phrase "emotional intelligence" literally means 'to push away the highest faculty of the mind, capacity for comprehending general truths.' Second, it is strange to me that women are often ascribed the attribute of "emotional intelligence." Whereas, men supposedly do not have that capacity. Perhaps women who are raised by only women never develop the necessary reasoning abilities. And men who are raised by only women never develop them either. So maybe the term "emotional intelligence" is quite accurate as etymologically defined... LOVE is an emotion and it transcends all science and knowledge. It is the entire reason WHY we were created. And being extremely intelligent but devoid of love would be pure hell. And yes, divine emotions ARE extremely intelligent, however lower human emotions are stupid and mindless. Sadly most people choose the lower base emotions.
