While the loss of life would be high on both sides, think of all the potential lives saved in the millions due to the drugs that come flowing into America, that not only kill, but completely destroy entire families. Which is worse if you ask me as the people who die from overdoses don't have to live through a life of hell, like the families of those effected. I would be willing to sacrifice 25k American lives, if it meant saving millions. How quiet do you think they'll remain if we attack Mexico? Most I know would welcome the US to go clean up the mess down there. They are up here not just bc they can make more money (which when you figure out cost of living and general lifestyles for them isnt alot better) but because it simply isnt safe down there in most places and up here at least they have a modicum of security. The older generations that grew up in Mexico would actually prefer to live in their homelands if they could without being under a constant cloud of paranoia and stress. From the first hand accounts I have received, basically everyone HAS to have a handgun (obtained very easily illegaly mind you) in their house to protect themselves and yet if they were to use it to defend their life, liberty, or property and get caught in the aftermath by the local jackboots then they would be mercilessly prosecuted by their own government. What America really needs is for Mexico to have 2nd Amendment rights, it would not only fix alot of immigration issues in the US but serve to fix alot of blatant corruption issues down there. |
