Governor race may go to the wire but the rest of the ticket is going the GOP.

Bevin's combative tone with the teachers over the retirement mess (that Breshear's father helped create when he was governor) may have done him in.

As I posted before school districts are the largest employers in some of Kentucky's overly small counties.
 Quoting: Redcat1

Was just going to say this! The teachers were pissed! His father created a disaster. He will be a disaster.

Wait until those teachers dont get paid because their students parents are taxed to death. It's "always for the children" and it's always about teacher salaries. I am a teacher. Nice 9 month salary compared to regular people who have to work 12 months a year. Teachers in my kids district make 42k to start. Extrapolate that out to regular year salary of over 50k. The teacher's unions ignore that tidbit.

The life expectancy of a democracy.
By: Alexander Tyler a professor of history at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland,
1887.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy;
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back to bondage.”
 Quoting: Loup Garou

No truer words ever spoken. We are between 7 and 8. The elections will reveal where we are.

@Redistrict

This was an all-around performance from Beshear (D)...or a well-rounded rejection of Bevin (R), depending on how you look at it. Beshear (D) did what he needed to do in the coalfields/rurals and also did great for a Dem in northern KY/suburbs. #KYGOV

Most teachers in Kentucky are fucking idiots.

The KEA (Kentucky Education Association) which is a liberal lobby group told them how to vote and to hate Bevin...

Bevin fully funded their pension fund that the Democrats including Bevin's opponent's dad drained.

But yet they are going to vote for the son of the man that fucked them. Ignorant hicks.

Bevins was cleaning up that mess left behind. The teachers union did this. Bevins was single handedly getting rid of wasteful spending. I saw it first hand in that state. You wouldn't believe the garbage they were wasting money on in KY and Bevins was nixing it. They are screwed now.
