I used to work with nice mexicans, and they told me they were ashamed of their country because it was run by the cartels. That was 15 years ago.

There's more to this story than meets the eye.
Lebaron girls were involved in NXIVM.
The Lebaron clan was steeling water from the local peasants. They had their own little wealthy community and were building illegal wells and taking water from the locals.
I'm sure the local Mexican peasants do not see the Lebaron family as the good guys.

I know real born again missionaries in that area. They are white and they live with the locals and help them with contributions from churches back in the US. There's a lot of human trafficking going on, and Mormons are not famous for treating women with respect.
I lived in northern Mexico and shared whatever I had. I have no patience for wealthy americans who go there to live because it's cheap there, and do nothing to help others, and hide under a cloak of righteousness. My good book says, if someone tries to steal your coat, give them your cloak also. If someone is hungry, you feed them. If these mormons were real Christians and not a weird women owning cult, this never would have happened to them because they would have been a blessing to the locals instead of a curse.

I'm glad that I was not part of, or anything to do with the un-hinged, desperate and lunatic theories that scattered this place yesterday. They were targeted true, but completly blameless.

Drug trade and cartels in general provide a big part of the Mexican economy. It will be difficult to convince them to give up all the money that grows their economy and fills politicians pockets through bribes. An honest politician is hard to find, and they have little power due to the cartel money supporting the crooks.

It's amazing how the son, 13 yrs. of age, protected his siblings by carrying them to the brush and cover them with branches, and walk 14 miles to find help. He saw his Mother be murdered and two of his siblings, and he managed to stay strong through all of it. What an amazing boy!!!
