4 of Mexico's cartels are fighting for control of the avocado business

Avocado growers in Michoacan state, home to 80% of Mexico's production, are being targeted by four of the country's cartels.

Avocado is an increasingly lucrative resource for criminal groups, and they have a history of shaking down the state's producers.

Four competing drug cartels are extorting avocado producers in Michoacán, Mexico, showing how the fruit is becoming an increasingly important source of illicit profits in the context of shifting criminal dynamics in the state.

The Jalisco Cartel New Generation (Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación — CJNG), the Nueva Familia Michoacana, the Tepalcatepec Cartel and the Zicuirán Cartel are all involved in this growing criminal economy, according to Michoacán's attorney general.

Michoacán produces over 80% of Mexico's avocados, with an annual export value of around $2.4 billion, earning the fruit the nickname "green gold."

...

Competition for these criminal profits has fed into the wave of violence currently engulfing Michoacán. In August 2019, 19 people were massacred in Uruapan, the center of Michoacán's avocado industry. Their bodies were displayed in three locations around the town.

Okay, this is worth a US invasion of Mexico.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

“Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.”

– Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project

Normalize every aberrant behavior, bring common all deviancy and let fly the reins of morality and reason, then welcome in that utopia that liberals embrace called communism, that which most Americans with but a shard of ethic would immediately recognize as evil.

Watch the Netflix ROTTEN episode on avocados.

It details just how bad this is in both Mexico and South America.

This involves the hoarding of water resources also.

That is devastating to other farmers.

While I hate the endless migrant invasion because it's being used like a weapon to steal elections & force us under communism, I don't hate the migrants themselves. I know if I were in their shoes, I'd try to take my family & escape too.

This is why the leftists in America fund & support these cartels. They get the drug money & force everyone (including us) to submit to their tyranny - or at least that's their gameplan.

I tried this year unsuccessfully. Gonna try again next year, but put the avocado in a pot. The citrus & olive trees are doing well, don't know why the avocado didn't make it.

And when we had humane, small family farms and ranches that supplied locally, kids would grow up wanting to leave the farm for the city. I knew a bunch of old timers that said they enlisted into the military to escape farm and ranch life

They told me stories of having to wake up at 4-5 in the morning to take care of the animals and it was non stop stinky work and youd still witness a lot of death and they couldnt wait to escape from it.

I have to concur with that. Both sides of my family were farming families back in Canada and my relatives couldn't WAIT to get away. My grandma was even offered the entire farm if she would stay and look after here father and she said NO WAY. Personally I think their lives kind of sucked here in the States, but I guess they thought it was better than farming. People have no idea how hard farming is, including taking care of the animals.

Perfect Avocado Toast recipe.

Half medium Avocado
1 slice Asiago cheese bread
Salt and pepper
High quality Olive Oil

Toast cheese bread, spread with the avocado, dust with salt and pepper then drizzle lightly with Olive Oil. Top with a fried egg if you like.
