We grow avacado the size of footballs here in Florida. 1 fla avacado is like 4 tiny haas. They grow everywhere. When you hear one hit the ground, run out and get it. They make a very large thud. The trees are so tall, nobody can reach them.

I tried this year unsuccessfully. Gonna try again next year, but put the avocado in a pot. The citrus & olive trees are doing well, don't know why the avocado didn't make it.
 Quoting: DEPLORABLE Lady Jayne Smith

It didn't make it because an Avocado tree takes 12-15 years to mature and start to produce edible fruit. You have to buy a mature tree at a nursery and prep a major hole in the yard for it or huge indoor Pot for a greenhouse.

Remember the famous maple syrup heist in Canada.

I have a feeling we’re gonna see something similar with avocados soon lol

Watch the Netflix ROTTEN episode on avocados.

It details just how bad this is in both Mexico and South America.

This involves the hoarding of water resources also.

That is devastating to other farmers.

I don't have Netflix but looks like a great mini-series:

I was about to mention this. I watch it when it came out. i had no idea that avocados were the source of all this fighting!

They are crazy expensive. Even at Aldi's they hover around a buck-a-piece, which is outrageous since half the fruit is a pit.

Marijuana and cocaine were so 1980s - it's all about the avocados:

4 of Mexico's cartels are fighting for control of the avocado business

Avocado growers in Michoacan state, home to 80% of Mexico's production, are being targeted by four of the country's cartels.

Avocado is an increasingly lucrative resource for criminal groups, and they have a history of shaking down the state's producers.

Four competing drug cartels are extorting avocado producers in Michoacán, Mexico, showing how the fruit is becoming an increasingly important source of illicit profits in the context of shifting criminal dynamics in the state.

The Jalisco Cartel New Generation (Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación — CJNG), the Nueva Familia Michoacana, the Tepalcatepec Cartel and the Zicuirán Cartel are all involved in this growing criminal economy, according to Michoacán's attorney general.

Michoacán produces over 80% of Mexico's avocados, with an annual export value of around $2.4 billion, earning the fruit the nickname "green gold."

...

Competition for these criminal profits has fed into the wave of violence currently engulfing Michoacán. In August 2019, 19 people were massacred in Uruapan, the center of Michoacán's avocado industry. Their bodies were displayed in three locations around the town.

These criminal gangs learned well from the criminal gangs who run most countries how to build monopoly capitalism money machines.

Create demand through promotion and media, control the supply and pricing. Milk the consumer for all they are worth, leaving them in debt.
 Quoting: Crypto-Tard

If the cartels really want full control over Mexico then we'll just have to declare Mexico a rogue state and cease all trade with them.

These developments will not end well for Mexico. You can't have drug kingpins run a country. The people of Mexico will have to rise up and fight the cartels if the want this to stop. They already fought a bloody war against the spanish to have their democracy, why dont they fight to defend it? How about you stop being peasants Mexicans? Maybe if you got a grip on your own nation you wouldn't have to rely on working in America for a livable income.

Interesting you should mention that and it's called a border. There is enough radiation in a shipment of bananas (Potassium-40) to set off radiation monitors. It's possible that a nuke could be smuggled inside a shipping container full of bananas.

Potassium-40, Thorium-234, Uranium-235 (HEU) emit gamma radiation.
