you know, fundamentally what you say is in principle correct, however, it's been that way for a looooong time. I know people that are eating their preps so they don't go bad and buying more. I question your definitive time sequence, not necessarily disputing your reasoning. Could be 20 years who knows.

So, it could be a 40 year span of propping up the system steadily hollowing out the economy and jobs and degrading the culture and morality of the people. The problem going forward from these timeline markers is the lack of electable politicians. They have sullied it to the point that a massive change is going to come from how government is formed. Not to mention how bad the reputation of the US is not just within the borders but around the world, we are not respected but suspected.
