You can FEEL it. Like Obi-Wan sensing the destruction of Alderaan you can feel it in your stomach, that it's over, all is futile, and pain, hunger, sadness and terror are coming at us in 3-D, and if you squint you can even make out the dark shape chugging along on the rails of the crazy train.
