According to FSB connections, Russia is planning, and already bringing in heavy construction equipment, to build fortifications and fighting positions in and around captured Ukrainian cities, ensuring they keep the land and positions that they conquer.

From those forward operating bases, they will regroup and resupply, launching assaults and artillery from those fortified positions.

Kherson is a priority for the Russians.
