No mentally healthy Catholics worship Our Lady. She is honored and venerated, not worshipped as one would worship God. Yes, She was a special and righteous person Who brought forth Our Lord and Savior in human form. She is a canonized saint, a fact which you are free to reject as a non-Catholic. She is the Mother of God in that She was the Mother of Jesus, who is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity (God); this is Catholic dogma, so again, you are free to reject what Catholics accept as truth.

Just how do you know that Mary does not appear to people? There are accounts of Marian apparitions occurring as early as the first century A.D.. If you believe that God is all-powerful, who are you to say he cannot send angels, saints and even souls in Purgatory or Hell to communicate with living human beings? We are biblically prohibited from conjuring spirits, but that does not mean that God does not permit them to appear to, or speak to certain individuals for specific purposes. You are entitled to your own beliefs, but that doesn’t mean they are factual.
