So you're being sarcastic because you, unlike too many others, do understand the true nature of the left? Because you're as disgusted by them as you should be, as most sane and humane people should be?

If so, you're ahead of the game.

Well I wouldn't say "It was almost military-like."

But you are right, I had a 7th grade teacher in Arizona, who had a ping pong ball paddle, (with holes drilled in it) and it sat right there on his desk.

He was not afraid to use it either, and he was no large man.
Right there in class, in front of everyone, you had to bend over, grab your ankles, and take the allotted licks.

ahh...those were the days.

But there was no CRAP going on in the classroom either.
And if you wanted to excel...DUH, You fuc%ing worked for it.

Re: In the 70s we had DISCIPLINE in schools. What happened?
A lot of those very strict teachers just want to hurt students and many kinds of people just to hurt them for the sake of hurting them because they get enjoyment and pleasure out of inflicting pain for the sake of causing pain and not because they feel those people deserve it as their #1 reason to hurtfully punish people, especially if they punish a person for doing something they had a right to do because they were doing it to a rotten asshole like the overly strict rude worthless waste of space teacher.

People who want to hurt other people just for the sake of hurting them and not because they deserve it as their #1 reason to hurt other people are VERY bad people obvious and they are very huge sons of bitches with the guys and bitches with the girls, they really are worthless waste of space piles of sh!t, period.

Well because there are A LOT of ACTUAL good people in existence, those VERY bad stupid assholes better watch themselves LOL.

I don't care what anyone says in response to my comments, me and any ACTUAL normal person knows that all of my comments are 100% true.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77799900

Did a teacher hurt you in school?

What I witnessed in the 70s were teachers and the principal taking a wooden paddle to the boys and sometimes right there in the classroom. I never thought there was a good enough reason for that humiliation and pain. In one instant, the boys came in from recess and had muddy jeans from playing football. The teacher got out the wooden paddle. The boys had to bend over and touch their ankles while being whacked on the backside. I didn't agree with it then, and I don't now.

I know there needs to be a solution to problem students and that is, if they choose not to learn or be disruptive and violent, kick them out! It's as simple as that, but the state requires every child attend school no matter what.

Also, the public school system has some serious flaws. There is no room for creative thinking. There is a set curriculum that students have to adhere to. It's like graduating mindless clones every year and another generation begins the work cycle.

We went from a Christian society to a Jay-dominated/cultural Marxist society.

This is an old story. Here's what Jays were up to 100 years ago.

In 1919, Georg Lukacs became Deputy Commissar for Culture in the short-lived Bolshevik Bela Kun regime in Hungary. He immediately set plans in motion to de-Christianize Hungary. Reasoning that if Christian sexual ethics could be undermined among children, then both the hated patriarchal family and the Church would be dealt a crippling blow. Lukacs launched a radical sex education program in the schools. Sex lectures were organized and literature handed out which graphically instructed youth in free love (promiscuity) and sexual intercourse while simultaneously encouraging them to deride and reject Christian moral ethics, monogamy, and parental and church authority. All of this was accompanied by a reign of cultural terror perpetrated against parents, priests, and dissenters.

Hungary's youth, having been fed a steady diet of values-neutral (atheism) and radical sex education while simultaneously encouraged to rebel against all authority, easily turned into delinquents ranging from bullies and petty thieves to sex predators, murderers, and sociopaths.

Gramsci's prescription and Lukacs' plans were the precursor to what Cultural Marxism in the guise of SIECUS, GSLEN, and the ACLU--acting as judicially-powered enforcers--later brought into American schools.

There is a thread here from a few years ago called "Inside The LC: The Strange But Mostly True Story Of Laurel Canyon And The Birth Of the Hippie Generation". The thread is several pages long, but is a FASCINATING read which details how all of the music idols which were a part of our lives like the Beach Boys, the Mamas and the Papas, and most if not all of the "folk musicians" were supported and guided by Communists trying to undermine the USA by encouraging the same sort of activities. There's quite a lot there about Charles Manson and his "Helter Skelter" philosophy as well.

Scary to see how all the "Free Love" and "Peace" sunshine-filled lifestyles which we all believed that WE were inventing and cultivating and bringing about to change the World into a kinder and gentler place were actually insidious dark plots hatched by black-hearted Communists.

If you have an afternoon or evening, this thread is well worth looking up and will be an eye-opening read for you!

MKultra trained Frank Zappa was the son of...

The family moved often because his father, a chemist and mathematician, worked in the defense industry. After a time in Florida in the 1940s, the family returned to Maryland, where Zappa's father worked at the Edgewood Arsenal chemical warfare facility of the Aberdeen Proving Ground run by the U.S. Army. Due to their home's proximity to the arsenal, which stored mustard gas, gas masks were kept in the home in case of an accident. This living arrangement had a profound effect on Zappa, and references to germs, germ warfare and the defense industry occur frequently throughout his work..

You never heared a child call their parents "Mary" or "John". Today its like it is a shame to not talk like this. I think it is the modern directives to the parents and the school, that destroyed whatever was healthy in social ties.

You were punished if you forgot books or hadn't done your homework. Your mouth was washed with soap (really) if you cursed.

Back then nobody had ADHD or exhibited chronic bad behavior.

Most important of all, the parents didn't make excuses for their kids or tried to get special rules for their "special kid". Everybody was treated the same.

Interestingly, numerous singers/celebs of the time had parents who were in military intelligence- two I can think of now are Sharon Tate and Jim Morrison.

Interesting thing I just found on Jim Morrison's father:

"What is not as well known is that then-Captain George Stephen Morrison was the commander of US Naval forces at the time of the Gulf of Tonkin Incident that gave the Johnson Administration the justification they needed to enter the Vietnam War."
