As of November 1, 2019, President Donald Trump (R) had made 157 Article III judicial appointments—2 supreme court justices, 43 appellate court judges, 110 district court judges, and 2 judges on the Court of International Trade. That ranked him fourth among all presidents since Theodore Roosevelt in the total number of appointments, first in appellate court appointments, and fourth in district court appointments as of November 1 of the third year of a president's term.
