Yeah, we know they got all those medals fighting against foreign external enemies, either real or imagined, in far away lands. However they are also supposed to uphold the Constituition by defending against INTERNAL enemies.
And internal enemies are the most dangerous.

Huge hordes of gangs, criminals, thugs, rapefugees, are roaming around creating mayhem. At least, can't the Generals issue a simple statement that "anyone who subverts the Consituition will be dealt with firmly?"
