Three Essential Firearms For Civil Unrest
Make no mistake about it, folks. Terrorists will hit America again. There is also a serious prospect of either civil war or a Soviet-style breakup of America into nation-states in my lifetime. Indeed, it is exceedingly unlikely that America as we know it will exist when our children reach our age. If you think I am crazy, quit reading this column and return to playing your video games. The rest of the column is for those of us who live and operate in the world as it is but also prepare for drastic changes in our circumstances.

As we think specifically about which three firearms are best for dealing with large-scale civil unrest, it helps to imagine hypothetical situations. Imagine, for example, that a mob of Antifa “anti-fascists” decided to converge upon your town. In other words, imagine a typical weekend in Portland. Imagine further that the mob moved into your neighborhood and that they crossed your property line. Finally, imagine they were holding Molotov cocktails. Now entertain a question:

If you were to come walking out on your front porch to defend your home and family holding one firearm with another strapped to your shoulder and a sidearm, what would those three weapons be?

I’ve given this a little thought. Here are my choices:

Nice looking and all. Great caliber choices. But I still consider the rem700 and win70 superior to just about all others.

Brits can buy a crossbow that shoots 8mm heavy ball bearings. Slow to reload but lethal enough!

And only £80!

Rem700 is garbage and cheaply made, Action is too loose and sloppy.

These guns are $7000 a piece and take a year to make.

all hand milled, carved and engraved.

I do like my Mossberg pump action Mariner 590. It chambers 8 + 1 and there's no need to double tap your assailants...

Re: Three Essential Firearms For Civil Unrest
I would walk out the door with my 20ga. tactical shot gun in my hand. That is plenty to eliminate any close in threat, and intimidate most people close enough to hear it. I never leave the house without a side arm. I would not walk into a crowd with my little daily carry piece though. It would probably be a Springfield XDM .40 or .45. On my back would be an AR15 carbine with laser and extra 30 round magazines.

If I thought I could scare them off, I might just walk out with an AK47 with a drum. Very intimidating, and effective at really close range.

I would not take any big bore rifle out to a street fight. The .30 cal. rounds are no more effective at close range than the lighter ones, but produce a lot more collateral damage. If they are far enough away to need the big guns, it's probably not self defense. Save the big ones for the deer and elk.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Buy an 80% receiver and build your own. Federal gun laws are part of the interstate commerce act, so it only applies to guns that cross a state line. If the gun is built in your state and never crosses a state line, it does not have to be registered, and the feds have no of tracking it. Even if you don't build it yourself, you can buy a locally guilt gun. Of coarse, state laws might be a problem, depending on where you live. If you live in one of the communist authoritarian states, you're fucked anyway.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Americans in muni or corporate power have been fully neutered, anmd will side with the enemy, tacitly or openly. 30* years of high tech mind meklting through a completely anti-American media network, 50 years since our best Executive was shot dead in public and not one American had the balls to go get his killers, in tel aviv.

Not to mention...

unless you have a closet dedicated to storing crates of 10mm ammo, and plan to never need to leave your home for any reason, when you run out, you won't find any laying around for miles and miles to replenish.

10mm is overkill, when 45 and even 357 is close enough and will be found everywhere.

Nice to have assault rifles, sniper rifles, etc, but in the real world it will be a handgun that will actually protect you. I suggest getting good with one

Canadians re fine, they speak our language.

But the spain itch must be totally repressed. Prison terms for anyone disobeying the English-only law in Mexico, which will be established once those gang shits force us to melt them into dross. By forcing those terrible mothers and fathers to stop ruining their kids with that bad euro language spain itch, this will cause a better world with better families in mexico.

ENGLISH ONLY FOR MEXICO NOW!

Most of the 10mm is loaded very weak, many less than 40S&W.

Sure you can find healthy loads in 10mm, but they are few and expensive.
