Re: A deep discussion on Lucid Dreaming and beyond.
Lucid dreams are the best VR system available. No motion sickness, perfect presence etc. I have this future city I love to visit. I have a catalogue there with all kinds of exotic flying vehicles that I can pop into existence by touching their photo on the page. Those are fun to fly around in.

Sometimes I also find myself standing in front of a gigantic "screen" with hundreds of "videos" playing on it, kinda like a video game service website like Steam/Xbox etc. I can pick which dream "realm" I want to enter and play around in. I prefer the scifi ones :)

That's exactly how I see it, and I do indeed have my own persistent city. I know of others who create persistent dream realms effectively playing God.

I also get the screens, talk about that in the podcast. Funny how this subjective world can share common experiences. Jung knew.

I met an East Indian dream yogi who also talks about screens, knew exactly what I was talking about. There's a writer friend of mine and he wrote a fictional book themed around dream and same thing it had screens to dream experiences.

Sometimes I can see them as nodes, pin points etc. Move into it and it's chalked full of experience.

I realize I'm dreaming when the scene has many out of proportion items that are too big, small, or wavy in nature. Then I take control and the possibilities are endless...

Absolutely, and that is the message here... unlimited possibilities for new adventures and experiences just by learning to be in the driver's seat of your own dreams.
 Quoting: YouAreDreaming

When one accomplishes the realization of changing the scene in any way one wants, it's hard not to wake up from the initial excitement of lucidity. Once the ability is harnessed, you wake up feeling powerful and can to some extent, control this waking reality too. Lucid dreaming is self edifying and alludes to the timelessness of our souls. It's a great gift to be had!

What are your thoughts on possible government testing facilities that are practicing conscious control and consciousness traveling into another persons body by replacing their conscious in their mind and becoming them? I can’t find any research on this... But this is something I have thought about because of my level of power to lucid dream.

Re: A deep discussion on Lucid Dreaming and beyond.
It's fun, I do a lot of interesting things with my dreams. Quite satisfied with having this skill as it to me is the best form of entertainment period. Better than movies, video games and sometimes even better than waking life. It's why I keep doing it, and will until I die because it always gives experience, adds time, rewards in intrinsic ways. A hell of a lot of fun to say the least.
 Quoting: YouAreDreaming

nice, that's the point and it's deeeeply profound
all consumerism beyond a basic shelter, a bed, a waterclose, clothing and basic food only to keep us alive, all in 1st step in Maslow's pyramid, are for "entertainement" aka pleasure, reward
and then we trade our work ability with who hold the "exchange mean" ($ - capitalists, even in modern China) so we get the exchange mean to get these basic things, and what is left we use to trade to have "entertainment"
basically, a LOT of effort, energy from us is "invested" in surplus $ to have entertainment

so lucid dreaming can give one MUCH more of it than ANY "real" entertainement could - just a matter of feed ourselves with information, like from google earth (explore the Louvre or Tahity for instance)
then one can trade much more work ability / time than currently does, to get just the bare $ to keep alive and protected, and have daily joyfull experiences no one in "real" world will ever be able to have, no matter how $ surplus may have like Bill Gates or Prince Salman

and the overall economy based on consumerism could colapse - so, "they" may be oversighting all this "lucid dreaming stuff" and soon will begin an agenda that it "may be dangerous" os is "a sin" and blablabla to dissuade people to get in it

Re: A deep discussion on Lucid Dreaming and beyond.
Excellent interview I have really enjoyed listening so far, got 30 mins left to listen to. I listened to this just before I went to bed and gave the lucid dream a go.

I was so tired a dream started forming around me whilst still half awake, but it was scary lol I was in my flat looking out the window and it was like the Purge.

Cars crashing into buildings, people running around with masks on killing each other it was chaos lol, and I tried to pull myself back from it and control it but it was hard, because it was quite scary I kept trying to wake myself back up fully and after about an hour I fell asleep and cannot remember my dream after that.

I probably need to practice and understand things like this take time to master. I will listen to the rest of the interview soon and try again tonight.
