Of course, we use different ages for different things because children mature about different subjects at different ages. A 12 year old KNOWS that murder is wrong. Every 12 year old, except maybe a retard, knows this. Most children know this even younger. But sex is a more subtle and difficult process that requires life experience to understand which is why we have age of consents, because some adults try to EXPLOIT kids and kids don't have the understanding to be able to avoid those traps, or the mental, social strength.

This should be obvious to everyone except those in France, apparently.
