Anonymous Coward User ID: 78155765 Australia 11/10/2019 06:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This will probs go on for the next four months, due to higher than average temperatures and lower than average rain fall. One of the other problems being created by these fires is that towns were already getting dangerously low on water. Rivers have been drying up. Now the water that is still available, will have to be used on the fires. NSW fires see more than 850,000 hectares destroyed so far in season 'as bad as it gets' More than 850,000 hectares of land in New South Wales have been razed since the start of this year's unprecedented bushfire season — the equivalent to more than 1 million rugby league fields. Key points: More than 850,000 hectares in NSW have been destroyed since the start of the bushfire season A catastrophic warning is in place for Greater Sydney and the Greater Hunter on Tuesday, with authorities saying conditions will be "as bad as it gets" People are being advised to plan now and avoid bushfire-prone areas NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has declared a state of emergency, describing the crisis as "some of the most devastating bushfires we have ever seen". It's the first state of emergency in NSW since October 2013, when major bushfires swept the state in similar weather conditions, combining gusty winds and hot, dry land. The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) confirmed the extent of the damage to date, ahead of a warning about "catastrophic" conditions facing Greater Sydney and the Greater Hunter areas on Tuesday. It is the first time the Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains and Central Coast, has faced a catastrophic warning in the 10-year history of fire danger ratings. Hot, windy conditions are forecast to stoke more devastation, with temperatures set to soar into the mid-30s. Anthony Clark from the RFS has warned the coming conditions will be "as bad as it gets", as firefighters continue to battle the deadly epidemic of fires over recent days that killed three people and destroyed at least 150 homes. Quoting: DiamondBlack And, it would have been deliberately lit, probably a bunch of globalist goons running around trying to destroy nature. Not covered by insurance ya see...!!! oh, and the news will say "lightning strike" or some bullshit just to add defense for the insurance companies!!! PS. Lots of arsonists in this country, they burned an entire town down in our south west few years back, and this town was a dairy town (cow farms etc... hmmmmmmmmm) and light fires EVERYWHERE. Lightning strike... pffffft, hardly happens. Live in australia, you see plenty of globalist scum here. sounds just like California. Same scenario. Same Agenda... :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |
