Being captured alive by the Chinese would be a fate worse than death I'm sure. When that is your option, one fights with much more vigor. Our founding fathers new this and it won the war, of coarse logistics and weapon inequality are the major difference in Hong Kong. "Give me liberty or give me death" was the mentality back in our revolutionary war, maybe the protesters will chose death. A number already have it seems.

I hate these HK protesters. They started off good with the extradition law, but that got withdrawn. They should've stopped. Instead, they're out there every day acting lawless and aggressively towards the cops.

They were hoping for a CNN moment from the 90s, like some helpless idiot in Tiananmen Square getting squashed by a tank. But no one cares for a bunch of masked thugs getting shot.

They deserve it.

Yes and no. Many of the cops are actually sent to HK from China just to cause trouble and/or shut down the protests forcefully. The tear gas the police are using is very strong stuff that reportedly has high levels of cyanide in it so it is extremely hard on the lungs, and there are lots of people with skin burns from contact with the water cannons that have added harsh chemicals in the water.

The cops are beating women, hurting people, etc. According to many reports online, that guy that got set on fire a day or two ago was running around hitting people with hammers and the crowd tried to stop him several times before that happened. Same thing with the other guy that got severely beat up, he was a pro-China protester running around punching random people.

If you watch the live feeds to can sort of see the real dynamic, because the protesters noticeably love and respect the fire fighters and medics but they hate the cops. The cops have even been caught on camera harrassing the medics, blocking passage for injured people rying to get to ambulances, etc. It is not all cut and dry like you think it is.

It's starting to get dark now in Hong Kong (it's about 6pm there) so if anything is going to happen it will probably happen within the next couple hours. I have noticed a lot of people laying out barricades and bricks on the streets to deter vehicle traffic so the protesters might be preparing for a long night.

Plenty of raping by CCP police drones being done as well. They get their arrest quota of nice looking babes every night.

The embedded live feeds I posted several posts back in this thread are all starting to wake up with action now. Protesters are starting fires and trying to block roads so traffic can't pass.
