Yes, that pastor was greedy and he was only in it for big money, tax free money. But from a different perspective, his followers were also greedy, expecting something in return by donating money to the church. They believe they could buy the love of God and expect God to heal them from severe sickness, take away body pains, resume lost body mobility, take them out of poverty, or send them only to Heaven upon their death. People willingly donated their life savings and estates to buy favors from God, and these pastors heavily promoted and took advantage of that human misunderstanding.

This topic makes me recall an episode of the TV drama "The Righteous Gemstones" in which the honest pastor tells his congregation God has only love to give them, so stop asking God for this and that. Well, at the next Sunday service only a handful attended, the rest went to the mega mall church of the Gemstones where they preach God can give you what you wish.

Sadly, this happens across all religions and spiritual systems.

Here's the thing about condemnation and why we are not to condemn ANYONE.

We all agree, as believers and followers of Christ, that God can use ANYONE he chooses for any purpose.

Yes, Kenneth Copeland, Olestine, Warren, all the TV/Megachurch leaders are not doing what Christ taught, not defending the sin at all. But who are we to say they are condemned?

Imagine Copeland completely turning to God, forsaking everything he had, has, or will ever have, to follow Christ. What better modern day example of the power of salvation for the world to see, for Copeland's followers to witness a man they never questioned stand up and testify that grace.

Yes, he might never turn, not up to us to decide his fate, but instead of condemning a demon we should be praying for a lost soul.

Why did Jesus say love and pray for your enemies?
Do we follow Jesus or not?
Can we decide who is worthy of salvation and damnation?
Do we possess the keys to hell and death?
Was Paul not worse than Copeland before salvation?

"Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more", do we follow Jesus or not?

If Jesus was sent for the salvation of sinners why are so many Christians calling them demons and condemning them instead of being examples of Christs salvation and a testament of that gift?

Do we know who we are truly following?

Are we hearing his voice and following HIM, or have we strayed and followed the desires of our hearts and following another?
