For those on limited budgets, most major outlets have a yearly sale, and do not be afraid to check out Value Village, Goodwill, and other thrift stores. I have personally seen some very nice kit come from those places.

I don’t know why I bother trying to explain this to every moran that repeats this ignorant rant, but the Hermes Birken bag appreciates in value a couple thousand dollars when it is carried out of the store. Depending on the specific style and materials, it appreciates further through the years. Some of those bags are now worth millions of dollars.

Compare that with a new car that loses thousands of dollars in value, the moment it is driven off the lot and loses value every year.
