I have followed NHRA for many years, since before John Force started in the old Jolly Rancher car. Been to events all over the USA, and am still amazed at the advances that have been made in the nitro and Pro Stock classes.

Was at Topeka, Kansas on the day that the first funny car went over 300mph, and another was first under 5 seconds. Drivers were Jim Head and the other was Jimmy Epler. Forgot which one did which.

I go back to Jungle Jim in the 60s (that was last century btw) when his 427 wedge beat the Hemi under Glass with a 100' wheelie and landed it straight.

I can only wonder when it will be impossible to do better.
Under 3 seconds and better than 400? Ten years ago many would have not believed what is achieved today.....but there has to be that barrier that no one will ever cross.

Maybe 4 wheel drive electric silent dragsters?

Years ago I remember seeing videos of rocket sleds to see if astronauts could sustain such tremendous G forces.

Yeah I wonder how much a body can take.

I like Allen, accidentally admitting his Beans are baked. It's good to purge a guilty conscience, even if he immediately denied it.
