Disney's classic movies like Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, The Aristocats, Peter Pan and The Jungle Book now come with disclaimers, warning users of "outdated cultural depictions." Disney movies are sick anyway, just like the pedophile who founded Disney. They are buying up the old movie cache's. This is so 1984, erasing the past. All they have to do is get rid of certain movies that they own. Terrifying. I own a copy of Missing by Costa Gavras. It's the story of the cia backed coup in Chile. I wonder how many really good political movies will disappear? Everything Costa Gavras directed has a moral message. Time to buy up your favorite political movies and save them. Then think of the moral comedies from the 30's and 40's, like Sullivan's Travels... Will they erase all movies with moral messages about the poor and downtrodden, too? |

Some years ago when I still had tv, I noticed the old movie channels like AMC and TCM were no longer showing movies based on traditional values, or even movies with true emotion or sentimental themes. They quit showing for instance romantic movies or movies based on human bonding and love. Cowboy and Indian movies had really become taboo. Instead they started digging out these old crappy movies made by communists of the day, ridiculing family life and traditional roles. They would show movies with "strong" women in non-traditional roles, or movies about bad evil rednecks. They did still play a few old movies that were good like To Kill a Mockingbird and The Bad Seed, the first featuring evil southern rednecks, The Bad Seed about about a murderous little white girl. Movies had to now have an agenda or they would not be shown. I figured it would get even worse, they now aim to destroy all old movies that portray a normal moral America. I'm a caretaker to two family members,and they watch alotta TV,so I see alotta TV. If you ain't perused a standard cable company's offerings lately,then you might be a little shocked at what a weapon TV has become and how fast. TV has been a weapon for a long time. The thing is now the culture they are promoting is especially depraved. |

Leftists can also insert their own propaganda in the form of "warnings," "public service notices," and commercials. As far as I can tell, Netflix has removed all Mel Gibson films from its library. IMHO, the better choice is Vudu (owned by Walmart), which offers not only pay-per-view rentals and free-with-commercials viewing, but also quasi-ownership. By "purchasing" a film on Vudu you get the permanent right to stream it or download it, without commercials. Vudu can, in rare cases, remove it from the search engine but not from your library. |

Its story takes place after the Civil War: If I recall correctly, Uncle Remus is no longer a slave, but remains on the plantation because he is treated reasonably well and has nowhere else to go. The original Uncle Remus book, published in 1881, was a collection of genuine African-American folk tales. |
