Straight up -good reminder!

I heard that since Google is starting a gaming service called stadia. Record companies are like since your making people buy the games you need to make people buy our music aswell.

The fact they can shutter the gmail is really disturbing. Funny though, I got rid of gmail because I did not trust google.

When I made my first website 25 years ago there was no Youtube.

If you wanted to share something with the entire planet, you bought a computer, you hired an ISP, you bought a domain name, you hired a hosting company, you created your content, then you coded a website to present your content to the world.

Lazy fucking “Youtube Creators”, congratulations.

This youtube problem isn't something that I care too much about, because I would like to see youtube and Google drop in market share to open things up for healthier competition. I have never trusted or integrated Google into much of anything I do, but I do know people that have years worth of their emails just sitting in gmail with no backups at all.

For those of you out there using gmail or any other email service, please at the very least set up your email to also forward to Outlook, Thunderbird (freeware open source version of Outlook), etc. Then automatically tranfer or manually copy/paste all of your emails to your local computer so you at least still have all your past emails in case Google ever shuts down your account for some reason. That's something everyone should be doing no matter what, because all it takes even when times are good is an accidental button push or server failure at Google and your historical emails can be lost if you don't have some form of personal redundancy. Some people act like it is fine because Google already provides redundancy. Google duplicating your emails automatically on multiple servers to prevent data loss is not really protection for you at all, because that does nothing for you if Google ever decides to shut you out of your account permanently.

I don't personally have automatic forwarding because I like to keep things simple and network type interactions to a minimum for added security peace of mind. I have my email editing program of choice set up to connect to my email service manually only when I tell it to. I backup all my emails and then delete them from my main email account about every two weeks. That way I never have any emails older than two weeks purposefully stored on any cloud based email service.

Have you seen it flash on and off, that's new, you're watching something and it regularly blacks out and flashes black bright. Torturous, unwatchable.

I know it's on youtube's end and not my connection or equipment.

I have checked out Bitchute, and the content just isnt there.

For example, lets say you try to look up info on a Honda cb500x...Nothing comes up.

On youtube there are pages on videos on it... Perhaps more folks will come over to bitchute as the exodus from yt pushes on.

I like Bitchute, but at this time I agree with you. I have found about 80% of the commentary related content creators on Bitchute so I can watch them there now, but many don't put all of their videos on Bitchute, only some. For mainstream channels that just put out car fixing videos, hobby related videos, etc. they haven't had to deal with any of the past channel cancellation issues and most are not monetized to begin with. Those content creators are mostly making videos to have fun, meet new people with similar interests, and/or to help others. Until those type channels start getting deleted from youtube because they are not "commercially viable" they will probably never start moving to places like bitchute. That's too bad.

Hopefully most content creators have their videos saved on their own computers so they can be reuploaded to another service if there is an issue. If not, many good videos might end up lost completely in the coming changes.

Actually, no, not this. Both of you are clearly unable to grasp that YouTube is 100% powered by creators. All of it. Including the stupid gaming, cat videos, and questionable teen videos that you both very likely enjoy watching. Literally thousands of creators earn a living working very hard, to put out well made content. (historical videos, anthropology videos, deep state videos etc..) You may not be aware of aforementioned content judging from your posts, but rest assured, such content exists. So, shut the fuck already with your baseless "lazy YouTube creator" nonsense, you utter fucking mindless baboons.

I fucking hate the idea of government interference, but at some point YouTube will likely be declared a utility. Bitchute doesn't even receive a tenth of the traffic and viewers of YouTube. If Google wasn't acquiring nearly every viable competitor in their startup phase, we probably would not be in this mess to begin with.

I had a channel on you tube before it was Google, information sharing at its finest. We did not have content creators, we had real people sharing their info and opinions, if you did not like it, you looked at something else! Boy, the things we learned.
