I was grounding myself barefoot in a local lake this summer and I stepped out of the water and stood on a tree stump thinking it was dead. I felt more grounded on that tree stump than I did in the water and it floored me.

I looked down at the stump I was standing on and noticed it had new growth at its base. The tree stump was not dead. I could feel it before I understood it. I was dripping water onto the stump and my wet feet were grounded to the tree. It was amazing.

stumps still have life under them unless they are completely killed with fire or the stump is removed.

Not all my mom's spider plants I destroyed as a tot.

They did have the trait of being remarkably resilient.

I've been thinking about just how much we DON'T know about nature....I mean, how could we not have known until now that trees pulse water through themselves, not through osmosis?

I am glad they have proven this.
I have a dear friend that is Native American and her husband has a tree business. She has long told me this. When her husband has to trim or cut down a free, they always bless it and thank it.
If there is a way to save it, they will do what they can to do so.

I always assumed it. I mean, everything in nature has its rhythms. And for the reasons described above. Agricultural science focuses on rhythms, but they don't concentrate as much on trees.

Must we rediscover old knowledge again?

If governments set their regulations to respect the long term profitability of trees, homesteading tree farmers everywhere would flourish with their trees.

they are living entities upon this planet just as us they help us we help them... i'm not a tree hugger per say but we have to find a balance..just sayin..
