Lost tips of ring, middle fingers, and thumb from a # 6 non electric blasting cap I found. Worst pain I have gone thru. Dr. told Me I would never work as mechanic again! Was back at work 11 weeks later. You get used to it! Found the damn thing metal detecting and thought it was a spent old military round of some kind. Could have lost entire hand.

When I was 16
I did a one and a half front flip
Off a high dive
I hit a kid swimming under me
I broke my neck
And his collarbone

I also had a massive concussion
Paralyzed from waist down for a year
Then 6months to learn to walk again

I saw my Uncle nail a cat spread eagle to a tree and peel its skin off with pliers and pour alcohol over it.

The sounds.

I also saw him twist the head off of a kitten once and threw the head and body in separate directions.

I broke three ribs a couple of years ago... only bones I’ve ever broken in my life.

Isn't it funny that you never really realize what it means to walk, until you have to learn how to do it again.

I learned how to walk again in a YMCA swimming pool, that had a wheelchair lift. Walking in water is a lot different than walking on land though, but it really helps to keep the weight off whatever's healing.

My daughter said she had a few nightmares from when she got shot (sorta). Although at the time, she was very calm. Dad was with with her & he told her she would be fine. She trusted him to tell her the truth. She said it didn't even hurt at the time. Later, she said the fractured jaw hurt the worst. Her face looked so bad in that pic tough.

We joke with her husband that he shot her in the face because he was firing gun the that the ricochet came from.

Around 5 or 6 a car crashed into an oak tree in our front yard doing 120 mph had 5 people in it.
Body parts everywhere. Still found some in the morning.

About the same time I was at baby sitters . I saw two brothers fight over little red tool box. One puled out a gun shot the other one in head. I had blood and brains all over me. I got locked in a closet until police left the brother made it look like it was an accident.

Many car wrecks I've seen people die or all ready dead, Necks torn in half arms ripped off gruesome things.

Ive had 44 broken bones afew bad wrecks. One I was in the back of a paper route truck we hit a bridge doing 45. Scalped me and fractured skull and other bones. Another time head on accident on highway doing 75 no seat belt almost kill me and my wife.
I cant count how many windshields I've broken out wiyh my head.

Crasy thing is all my wrecks I was a passenger.

Angels had his leg.

Watched a guy walk out of the ocean, open a powerfeed and grab the wires.

Had a fight with his girlfriend.

Stubbed my toe on a bed post running around a cabin in the middle of the night @ 6th grade camp. Broke it in half. The pain was ridiculous. In 41 years never felt anything like it since.

Mine broke right next to my spine.

Can’t breath without pain, can’t lay flat, can’t raise your arms... roll or twist while sleeping & they’d grind together or pop apart & you wake up in shock and huge pain.

Rib belts hold them together but hurt too.

Misery... and takes forever to heal.

Saved 2 people from under the ice. And 3 from carbon monoxide poisoning. Maybe a few more at vehicle accidents. Didn’t stick around after the official help arrived.

I had a bit to much 151 one night with a steel reserve. Stabbed my self in the gut, climbed through a broken window, bleeding everywhere posed a bunch of tvs and electronics to look as if smashed. got pistol whipped and almost shot and life flighted.

I've only seen one person die of a massive heart attack.

I've seen dead bodies in third world countries, and limbs around funeral pyres on the beach in India.

I had to explain to a girlfriend that the dead women she bumped into in the Ganges River wasn't a dead pregnant women, her body was bloated.

I have only had one broken bone from trying to flip off the top bar of a swing set (it was the Olympics that year when I was 8) and second and third degree burns to my leg from a motorcycle accident.

I have seen my share of things working in an Emergency room and an ICU. One of my worst, because of the screaming from inability to initially medicate until head injury ruled out, was an elderly woman riding in the backseat of a car. She had her legs crossed, they went head on, two ladies in the front died. The woman in the back had the front seat pushed into her, both her femurs popped out with her legs crossed. She was like a pretzel, it was horrible.

I have seen lots of death and some pretty bad things.

The auto accidents I've witnessed looked like they were happening in slow motion, like this truck that went off a cliff in Mexico, and this min-van that did a flip in front of my car, and this bicyclist that got hit by a bus in India.

The mini-van that did a flip landed in a ditch and smashed out all the windows, and a couple of little dogs were thrown out. Things speeded up when I went to check on the woman and catch her little dogs.

I didn't get to see what happened to the truck that went off the cliff in Mexico, because the traffic was too hectic, and I couldn't stop, and when the guy got hit by the bus in India, the bus driver didn't stop.

She just has a small scar now along the side of her nose & down on her upper lip. Most people don't even notice it. She has a tattoo of a .308 now. She bulletproof!

When I was in Hempi there were like 3 or 4 women stabbed to death by a mugger, but I didn't see anything. I just made sure my girlfriend didn't go hiking by herself. The diseased monkeys there were disgusting to look at, and I avoided anyplace they sat.

I've found someone drowned in a pool, dead.

Seen people take a bullet to the back of the head. I turned and looked the other way, though, couldn't look, so...technically...I didn't witness it.

Car wrecks are gnarly. Saw a biker go flying after a car hit him.

A crushed in skull. That image will never leave my mind.


Me...I've drowned a few times. That was disturbing.

Been under the knife a few times, didn't know how I'd gotten there in that exact moment and was praying A) the surgeon wasn't going to panic and accidentally kill me because I'd woken up on the table and B) that he wasn't there stealing my organs in the first place. There's a lot of trust going on in that moment.
