And how the heck do all the politicians in Washington DC keep a straight face when talking about Pelosi after witnessing the woman's press conferences etc. Crikey I am just some dude down here in the bottom of the South Pacific and I can tell that there are things demonstratively wrong with Pelosi when she speaks in public. Yes it probably is the booze but more so she either has Parkinson's disease or dementia or has had a severe stroke/s or some other serious illness. It is difficult to watch and listen to her. The woman is a "mess" when speaking publicly....and it's getting more pronounced.

With modern communication tech it really makes no difference if he's in the office or hospital, so either way this is another nothingburger.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) the physician to The President of the United States of America is the Chief of Medicine at Bethesda Naval Hospital. At least that is how it has been done traditionally.

We also have a Surgeon General, who today is Jerome Adams.

The president can also have his own private doctors as well, but any information from the private doctors must be shared with the Chief of Medicine at Bethesda.

That said, it is very possible the doctors have told Trump to slow down a bit, and take a much needed break. Not golf, or entertaining at Mar Largo, but a real break. He needs rest.
And maybe they said, they want him to sleep and rest for 48 hours, and that is what he needs.

It is very difficult to get Trump to take a break, almost impossible. Well, tough shit, we are all human and Trump is 70 years old...and he has been under unrelenting attack. He needs to rest. I hope they gave Trump something to help him sleep, so he can finally get a deep rest.

If you look at Trumps eyes recently, he has bags under his eyes that they seem to be hiding with makeup, but it does not work in today's HD world. Trump is justifiably tired, and the best cure for that is a long, deep, sleep.

That's my guess to what's going on!

Nixon. At that point the embattled president was in the thick of the Watergate scandal.

I was 17 and still recall the immediate cynical public reaction: Nixon was faking it. Nixon was just fine, or he was inflating a cold into something much worse, all to garner sympathy. I remember thinking that could be true but hoped it wasn’t. I didn’t want to believe that the office of the presidency, an institution for which I had great respect, had sunk lower than it already had at that point.

It turned out Nixon really was sick with viral pneumonia, so sick that he should have been hospitalized right away. In fact Nixon tried to minimize the whole thing. Nixon was many things but he was not a coward. Using illness, even legitimate illness, to inspire pity would have been anathema to him. Nixon hated weakness, particularly in himself.

Trump, on the other hand, is a coward. I don’t know what his Saturday afternoon trip to Walter Reed Hospital portends. Given his perfectly awful diet, lack of exercise and advanced age, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was something, even something serious. But given Trump’s propensity for lying it wouldn’t surprise me if he was planting a seed in the imagination of the press and public to be used later for some corrupt purpose. The narrative may later be leaked that Trump has some rare and deadly malady in order to create the perception that a bullying Congress of Democrats is trying to impeach our poor, sick president. Who knows?

Actually you may be correct. It makes a lot of practical sense what you said in regard to President Trump. The guy is a "machine" as we say....unrelenting energy has he; but most humans need to rest & recharge now and then. Maybe the doctor/s advised the President in this regard.
