Seems to think that after society collapses, then you should be somewhere that does not have a high cost of living, high taxes and regulation? That won't be an issue if society is collapsed. Neither will traffic. Claims that Alaska "planes and ships will likely no longer be making shipments, greatly limiting available resources". DUH? Obviously the authors weren't talking about a collapse, but something else. |

A terrorist attack? An EMP strike? A natural disaster? An economic collapse? Quoting: Wowe All of these are possibilities, but in each one, a thick population density will make it far worse. There’s no denying that people panic when a crisis occurs, and that panic is only multiplied when more people are living closely to one another. All roads and brides will impassable as they will be under the control of local Chieftains who will be stopping motorists and relieving them of useful things. If you got little kids or old folks with you, difficult choices will have to be made. |

I always get a kick out of these prepper articles that assume, in a societal collapse scenario, society will continue somehow. If the power is out or the Chinese invade, there won't be any tax collector sending you a bill every year, the EPA will be the last of your concerns, and your rent payment just went to zero. I've even seen someone give prep advice to be debt free. What good is that going to do you when there are no credit card companies left to collect? I'm not too sure about their idea of Alaska being a bad idea. If you are prepared to live off the land, Alaska would be great. I will stay in the mountains and foot hills, but will probably move to the farm in western Nebraska since water is an issue here in Wyoming. The only problem I see is being less than 200 miles from Denver. That's why we have sensible gun laws. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage. Their timelines have never once been accurate and, what? Townsfolk loathe cityflok and vice versa? Maybe next week an article on how leaves tend to fall from trees when temperatures drop. |

I've even seen someone give prep advice to be debt free. What good is that going to do you when there are no credit card companies left to collect? In the Great Depression, most people lost their land and their homes due to not paying taxes or bank payments. Even though the banks were closed, and you couldn't make a payment even if you had the money, they still foreclosed on property. That is how the banksters, including the Rothschild led Federal Reserve Bank, came to own much of America. When the depression was over, the banks had all the property and the working people had nothing. It was the perfect setup for the globalist banksters to start another "Great War". Most American males needed a job, and being killed in the war meant their families would get the government insurance check. That is where the expression "bought the farm" comes from. When a man was killed in action, the insurance payment was just enough to pay off a small farm. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. "America is at that awkward stage.
