One might ask, what about ignorance? Can someone end up there because they didn't know about Jesus?

Well God's command is for all to repent of evil, and, to seek God with all their heart. Paul says that those who live by the law (of morality) yet were not told of the law become a law unto themselves, that their conscience bears witness that they k ow right from wrong. (I personally believe that the conscience is literally and only God himself convicting someone of no love). The bible talks about searing the conscience. Imagine your brain were your conscience and doing immorality opened up a gash. God can heal it, or one could cauterized it shut to not open anymore.

Besides all that, Jesus said no one can enter Heaven unless they are born again. MANY of the OT J-ws are going to receive the Holy Spirit AT the resurrection! They didn't receive it beforehand while they lived. Jesus gave us further insight that some peoples sins will be forgiven at the resurrection when he said

St. Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

And he is giving to his disciples to judge, though he also will judge the souls sent to him.

So even ignorance is no excuse as there are some who do not know of Jesus yet live by love and will be judged according to what they know.
How many knew wrong but seared their conscience?

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
