As if color-correct images are used everyday to solve climate change problems on land. Lol They have creative ways to manipulate us no matter which way we turn |

Nice Find OP ! "Never underestimate the pain of a person. In all honesty, everyone is struggling. Just some people are better at hiding it than others." Everyone has to work out their own salvation. Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards. |

Quoting: BBQ BOY™ Nice Find OP ! It won't work as you are thinking it would. The satellite would actually have to be in the water. The whole process is medium specific and also very time consuming. I don't know why people are amazed by this, it's a simple gamma correction in photoshop lol. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fatality. It has been done for years. I have made RED spectrum lights for submersibles. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76375912 If a women sharpens a pencil the NY times will do a front page article. hahha. The NYTimes once did a puff piece on this aging, nothing upstate NY Folk singer I won't name who was/is incredibly mediocre. She must have had connections beyond connections. Not just one page long with a photo, 4 full pages of the Arts section, about someone no one knew except in that stupid folkie world I was in. She wasn't super successful and bottom line, wasn't very good! None of them were! A small piece in the NYTimes can make a career. Another folk singer I knew rode the wave of an old NY times short article about her for years, actually two more singers. It's all about connections, and maybe paying a publicist, who knows. One quote can become a meme of sorts you never hear the end of. |

I do that all the time, it is called "auto white balance" and it has worked since 1994. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77710178 Feed it a screwed up pic, run the filter, and BOOM, it pops out just like that. That is just optically appealing, hers is more of a true fix per pixel. You can stay stuck in 1994 though if you want. :) |

Very cool!!! I've done my fair share of U/W video and photography and know how insane it can get carrying the lighting set up tp obtain a good image. Well done! |

I have taken countless deep underwater photos, on wrecks, steep reefs, etc., and unless artificial light is added, 90% of the photos are rather boring. This creates a bit of a false reality to the diver, as the images depict a scene not seen by the naked eye. Quoting: Reaching 73442761 The next step in this biologists work should be in the development of the corrected images vis a' vis an integrated auto-correction display in the diver's mask. Do that, and you have a whole new ballgame. Do that, and fish, corrals, lobsters, etc., beware; their otherwise camouflage disappears. Don't worry, Canon would have already seen this and would be by now working on their own integrated version, mask included. Mark my words, her patient (if she holds one) will be useless. |
