We are trying to train her to not bite us. (Puppy bites)
It is a challenge.

so cute...mine is 6 months old. We are getting very ingenious with things to bite. He loves paper twisted and cardboard boxes.

We must have a dog toy with us if she sits in our lap.

We notice that her legs are getting longer. She is a little less puppy

My glasses, tv remotes, and wallet were favourites for my pup.

Oh, ours loves the flavor of iPhone charge cords.

Haha, that reminds me of how some car companies wanted to be more eco-friendly, so they changed the insulation on the electrical wiring from a petroleum based material to a soy based material. It does the job electrically, as long as you don't park your car outdoors in a rural area, because mice actually enjoy the taste of the new soy based insulation.

OP, there are tree species that can give splinters in the dog's mouth/throat.

One of the best ways to get my boy to stop nibbling or biting was dominating and forcing him to lay on my chest while i stared him down as a pup. He didn't like that at all so he bit my nose lightly and i started snarling and growling, and when he did it again i "attacked" him bit him back and made him stay there, staring the alpha in the eye.

He's never bit me or anyone else for that matter. He truly respects us. He won't even get in my bed.

He's a big love bug now, but he still has his balls so that's a challenge in and of itself all the time. People and other dogs that are spayed or neutered can't stand being around him because he's intact.

People are pretty dumb really.

What breed mix is she?

Is she a boxer mix? Bull/staff/pit?

If you start training her, she should be willing to collect sticks and pile them.

My experience w/ pups nipping...

They want to be a part of your pack.
When mine accidental barely hurt one of us, we’d —

Take a big breath in, dramatical.
Look closely at the nip area and say - NO! And pull away, like you are upset.

That inhale always catches their attention. Then they figure out they did wrong. Then you can see the - “ guilt” look — like oh no I didn’t mean to.

Give that emotion a sec to sink in.

About 2 minutes later , hug and makeup.


Now- if mine tries to not come or such - I inhale in pretend shock. That is enough to trigger his guilt and turn around and comply.

Her mother is a black lab, don’t know what the father is.
She don’t look like pit to me .
She was the only one out of 11 pups that has the brindle coat.

That's what i think Sol is.

A bunch of them ended up in Mexico then a bunch of illegals brought them in.

They're very, very good dogs, and commonly mistaken for terrier type breeds.

They are very rare and you cannot DNA test them unless you go to Taiwan.

When the bites are too painful, yipe like a puppy. Also, holding a treat in the hand and not giving it up until there are gentle licks helps, too.

Some unwanted advice.

I trained all my dogs so someone can reach down and remove their food, or bone, or toy. And they don’t react aggressively.

They looked at us weird when we nabbed their food while they eat.

I don’t trust people to not act like idiots.

Although my current dog is not interested in other people. Can’t blame him. He’s an ornery old man.
