I'm 47 and the only woman I know with no ink.

My friends are professionals, good wives and mothers, college educated ... they all got them in their 20s when they were all hotties. I warned all of them then - I've always been averse - but back then they looked cool, and they meant something personal and special. My friends were sincere in getting them.

But a bicep or a back tattoo on a man holds up. It just does, because their biceps hold up. And men aren't really concerned about how they look in a swimsuit, either.

Don't judge a woman because she has a 20-year-old tattoo.
