However, I was stationed about 35 miles from the French border for 31 months and never crossed. My Battery took two trips there--both sucked for the adventurers. Sites to see, but the people are very snooty--in the big cities anyway. A tip, possibly outdated, for the tourists here. The guy's of my unit went to all of western Europe twice with the exceptions of Switzerland and Portugal. Everyplace sucked compared to the USA except for Spain and the very best reports were for Corsica (sort of France). Notable mention is that the English gals loved Americans, but England was just another shit hole. The USA has endless beauty, however I do not wish to see anything on the east side of the Mississippi River again--actually, anything east of the Continental Divide. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78180149 Sounds PERFECT! "Andalusia is a large autonomous region of hills, rivers and farmland bordering Spain’s southern coast. It was under Moorish rule from the 8th-15th centuries, a legacy that shows in its architecture, including such landmarks as the Alcázar castle in Seville, the capital city, as well as Córdoba’s Mezquita Mosque-Cathedral and Granada’s Alhambra palace." Indeed, that is what shocked me! The US, especially the West. Well and the south and heck even the northeast in parts, is BEAUTIFUL! I think the political parties can better stop bickering and ramp up the tourism push, if you ask me!
