(OP) User ID: 35990220 United States 12/18/2021 07:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I actually dropped off when Somewhere In Time came out. I thought Wasted Years was great but it signaled the end of an era. The vid wraps up their entire history at that time. I finally bought the album in the 2000's and came to love it. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is even lesser known on my stereo. Looking forward to watching the whole show later. Also been seeing old-skool represent, Sabbath, etc., lots of old Priest and yes, Rob Halford basically invented heavy metal vocals- but lets face it,, the straight metal dope, from the golden era of HEAVY METAL is shit like this: (I see someone just beat me to Maiden- but yeah... shit laft me awestruck as a 15 year-old kid, seeing this show (that went on for like 3 1/2 hours and 20 some odd hand-painted backdrops- And I was out in that sea of fools that day- still remember Cliff Burton's big ol' bell bottoms and his freak bros. stoner-do flapping in the wind... and that bass solo- it was like 'whaaa the fuck metal brahs... this is deal with the Devil tier riffs we's hearing ride the wind!'. |

I missed out on Cliff live. The infamous Joe Louis Arena show opening for Ozzy seemed to be when the dam burst for them. Most of the crowd fucked off after Metallica rather than suffer through Ultimate Sin era Ozzy. I was already a longtime fan but tickets were tough to get back then. You had to camp out all night and shit. I did manage to see them three times on the Justice tour. One night on my birthday people kept coming up and going "CLIIIIFFF!!!" After a while I realized I must have looked kind of like him with what I was wearing. 00:00 - Master of Puppets 05:44 - For Whom The Bell Tolls 10:06 - Ride The Lightning 17:18 - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 23:18 - Rowdy fans interrupting the show 27:40 - Seek & Destroy 34:32 - Creeping Death 42:25 - Am I Evil? 46:27 - Damage, Inc.
