He's definitely an odd character & loves the cameras, but yeah I don't see anything nefarious going on. Did he maybe spin the story a bit differently, & is only now mentioning Volker? Maybe. Who cares. Maybe he was afraid something was gonna leak & wanted to get ahead of it.
